Kajal Agrawal, an eponymous label, is born out of Kajal's design belief and love for the Indian handloom textiles. She strongly believes that a person is always known from their style. Our design construction aligns with the same belief to add a layer of design which reflect the wearer's soul.
A commitment to presenting traditional craft techniques by working with artisans in India is what fosters her design process and the magic of simple life experiences is what drives her passion. She believes in intertwining minimalistic design with ageless craft practices.
Since its inception in 2023, our designs has incorporated handloom Chanderi from Madhya Pradesh, handwoven cotton from West Bengal and kala cotton from Kutch. Marodi embroidery with its origin in Gujarat along with kasab and thread work have been a part of our creations.
We at Kajal Agrawal completely believe in bringing out the complex simplicity attached with handloom textiles and intertwining them with contemporary forms of silhouettes. We practise to represent this little abstract, as said by Gandhi in context with the relation between textiles and weavers, during the freedom movement - “True art must be evidence of happiness, contentment and purity of its authors”
